A New Kind of Prom Date: video commentary

The video that I have chosen belongs to the Youtube Channel The Ellen Show. The name of the video is A New Kind of Prom Date and is within the section of the channel named "Inspiring people", specifically on the 12th season. The treated video has a duration of 4 minutesand 47 seconds. The video starts with the presenter, Ellen, presenting the case of two so-called Institute friends. One of them is gay and had no partner to the prom, so his friend heterosexual, even having a girldfriend, offered to be his date for the dance. In this way, the two had one meeting to another. The public applauded to see the great friendship that the boys have reciprocally. At the end of this, appears the logo of the program.

I hope you are ok!

I a reading your letter and when I realized the reason why you had written me, I was so happy!

But, sadly, I can’t accept your invitation because now, my personal situation is very stressful.

The reason is related to my high school research project. I’m talking about a very important thing, you know! It’s a project that means a 10 per cent of my final mark. I know that the option which I choose will be the best for me. If I come, I won’t work.

I hope that you can understand me!

Esther Guerrero signs for New Balance team

Esther Guerrero Puigdevall, who was born in Banyoles on February 7^th 1990, I a female middle-distance runner. She is a young woman that has a very good career behind her bag: she started competitions 12 years ago more or less and by now she has won the Spanish Champion of women’s indoor and outdoor 800 meters competition and has participated in the women’s 800 meters  World Championships event. She is currently working in Banyoles as an athletics coach.

Last week, after being seven seasons with the FC Barcelona, she decided to sign for a new team: the New Balance. The motives behind are, basically, the new offers and aims that the new team has offered her, that can can make her goals come true: to qualify for the European Championships by finishing in the Spanish Championships top 3 and to participate in the 2016 Olympic Games.

Esther is a great example of a fighter who, after years fighting for its dreams, can make them come true. We wish you all the luck in the world!
